About Us

Our Story in Welding and Fabrication

At our company Peace Star, we specialize in delivering high-quality metal fabrication services that meet industry standards. We have built a reputation for precision and reliability across every project, large or small. We are committed to sustainable practices and efficient solutions.

Our Goal

Our main goal in Peace Star is to provide top-tier welding and fabrication solutions that exceed our customers' quality, safety, and performance.

Welding Services

MIG Welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding)

MIG Welding uses a consumable wire and shielding gas to join metals, making it easy to use and versatile for materials like mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The process involves setup, preparation, welding, shielding, and post-weld steps.

TIG Welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)

TIG Welding uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode for precise, high-quality welds, especially on thin and non-ferrous metals, through arc creation, metal fusion, and shielding.

Plasma Cutting and Welding

Plasma Cutting and Welding is preferred for its speed, accuracy, and cleaner cuts, making it ideal for precision work.

Underwater Welding

Underwater Welding, or hyperbaric welding, is used in submerged environments like ship and pipelines repairs, with techniques including wet welding (directly in water) and dry welding (in a pressurized chamber), commonly using SMAW and self-shielded FCAW methods.

Welding for Specific Materials

  • Aluminum welding: typically done using TIG, creates strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant joints with a clean finish.
  • Stainless Steel welding: offers excellent corrosion and heat resistance, hygiene, sustainability, and long-term value.
  • Cast Iron welding: though challenging due to its brittleness, is valued for its heat retention and thermal stability.
  • Galvanized Steel welding: commonly using SMAW, provides corrosion resistance, extended lifespan, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Copper welding: delivers strong joints with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, along with corrosion resistance, making it ideal for electrical and industrial applications.

Welding for Industries

  • Automotive welding: is necessary for arranging and repairing vehicle components, from body panels to structural parts.
  • Construction: In construction, welding primarily arc welding is used to create strong, durable structures like buildings, bridges, and pipelines.
  • Marine welding: is used for joining metals or plastics in marine environments, often using hyperbaric welding for underwater applications.
  • Pipe welding: common in industries like oil, gas, and chemical processing, typically uses Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) to ensure strong, leak proof joints.
  • Heavy equipment welding: focuses on manufacturing and repairing large machinery such as bulldozers and cranes.

Techniques like MIG, TIG, spot, stick, and arc welding are used for restoration, customization, and safety, offering reliable and cost-effective solutions in both industrial and vehicle related work. Peace Star ensures that your custom welding construction will be safe with us.

Welding Qualifications and Certification

At Peace Star, we prioritize quality by hiring only professionally trained certified welders. Our team is trained through reputable welding institutions in Dubai, where they learn techniques like SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW, along with safety protocols, blueprint reading, and metallurgy.

Certifications often KHDA approved ensure welders meet industry standards. We also value international credentials such as AWE and ASME certifications, which demonstrate advanced skills and professionalism in welding.

Welding Projects

Completed Project

Project Overview:

  • Project name: Decorative Mandala-Style Metal Panel
  • Material: Mild Steel Sheet, 3mm thick
  • Machine Used: CNC Fiber Laser Cutter (3kW)
  • Use Case: Interior design feature for a hotel lobby

Step-by-step: How it's done

1

Design Stage (CAD)

The client comes to us with a concept or a rough sketch. Our professional takes that into AutoCAD or CorelDRAW, builds it to spec, and makes sure it's symmetrical and cuttable. Then save it as a DXF File, which goes to the laser software.

2

Toolpath programming (CAM)

In software like Lantek or SheetCAM, we tell the machine: What material it's cutting, how thick it is, where to start and stop, what gas to use and then we stimulate the entire cut virtually to catch errors.

3

Machine Setup

We then load the 3mm mild steel sheet on the bed. Then align the sheet properly using the markers. Dial in laser focus height, kerf width, and choose nitrogen assist gas for a clean, oxidation-free cut

4

Laser Cutting (The Main Event)

Now the main event comes, CNC kicks in and the laser starts cutting exactly as programmed. The assist gas(nitrogen) blows away molten material. The motion is precise, the machine doesn't hesitate, cuts like butter, but with fire. The deeper the cut gets into the design, the more delicate it becomes. This part took around 3.5 hours of continuous, monitored cutting.

Challenges Faced

Despite detailed planning, real-world issues arise. Dense mandala patterns caused heat buildup, requiring cooling pauses and manual path adjustments. Micro-burrs in internal corners needed hand finishing, showing the value of human precision where machines fall short. Long cuts caused sheet lifting from stress release, which we managed with clamps and magnets to preserve symmetry. At Peace Star, we blend technology with skilled craftsmanship to deliver flawless results.

Finishing Process

After the final cut and cooling, the sheet was carefully removed, edges inspected, and the surface cleaned with acetone. A light buff removed fingerprints, followed by a clear lacquer coat for protection. Finally, it was mounted in a black powder-coated frame for structural support.

Total Time Invested

Process Time
Design and Preparation 10 hours
CAM Programming 2 hours
Cutting 3.5-4 Hours
Finishing and QC 3 hours
Total 19-20 hours

Before and After Project

Before: The client came to us with a rough idea and our professional took that idea and made it more accurate.

After: We designed it, done rough practices, then on the real material. For better finishing we have done with our hands as well. We completed it within the given time.

Time spent:

  • Design and preparation: 10 Hours
  • Fabrication and Finishing: 8 Hours

Welding FAQ's

Got questions about our welding services? Find answers here!

Many studies report increased risk of lung cancer in welders or other workers exposed to welding fumes. The primary culprit lies in the welding fumes and gases generated during the process.

Welding can significantly affect the eyes, causing both short-term and long-term damage due to the radiation emitted during the process.

Yes, welding fumes can be harmful and pose both short-term and long-term health risks.

Like everything else, welding will have innovations too. It already did like welding robots. It's a huge innovation and it can be very useful. As we know that welding can cause harmful diseases. If we place robots instead of human beings. It can help mankind a lot.
